About Us

Our Story

EASE was born from personal loss. we lost our brother to suicide after a silent struggle with mental illness that went unseen and unsupported. To the outside world he was brilliant and unstoppable, yet inside he felt completely alone.

His absence became our drive. We set out to break the stigma surrounding mental health, raise awareness, and provide the compassionate support he never received.

EASE exists so that no one suffers in silence. Our work is rooted in dignity, understanding, and care for every person who walks through our doors or connects with us online.

Who we are

EASE Mindcare was founded to address the growing need for accessible, high-quality mental health services in Ethiopia. Our licensed mental health team delivers evidence-based care with compassion and confidentiality.

Frequently Asked Questions?

What is EASE MindCare?

EASE MindCare is an emerging and fastest-growing Ethiopian-born Mental Health Services platform providing its services worldwide. We change the way people approach their mental health and help them tackle life’s challenges by providing accessible and affordable mental care. With EASE, you can message a professional Psychiatrist/therapist anytime, anywhere.

Who will be supporting me?

After you sign up, we will match you to an available psychiatrist/therapist who fits your objectives, preferences, and the type of issues you are dealing with. Different professionals have different approaches and areas of focus, so it’s important to find the right person who can achieve the best results for you. We have found that we are able to provide a successful match most of the time; however, if you start the process and you feel your Psychiatrist/therapist isn’t a good fit for you, you may choose to be matched to a different therapist. For more information click here.

Who are the professionals?

Professionals at EASE are licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited Psychiatrists/psychologists (Ph.D. / PsyD), licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT), licensed clinical social workers (LCSW / LICSW), or licensed professional counselors (LPC). All of them have a Master’s Degree or a Doctorate Degree in their field. They have been qualified and certified by the mandated government entity after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice. While their experience, expertise, and background vary, they all possess at least 3 years and 1,000 hours of hands-on experience. How can I be sure that this is an effective form of service/therapy?

Our confidence in the platform comes primarily from the feedback and testimonials we receive from users. Every day we are excited to hear from more people about the way this service helped them make a tremendous change in their lives.

How confidential are my secrets?

All professionals are licensed after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice. This means that when you talk to a licensed professional online, they are subject to the mandated reporting and confidentiality requirements, similar to in-office therapy.

Generally, the professional will keep what you tell them confidential, but there are limited exceptions. For example, if you threaten grave harm to yourself or to an identifiable victim the therapist is required to report this information to relevant authorities. Before starting, please discuss with your therapist their legal obligations to confidentiality if you have any concerns or questions.
